New range hood

Thanksgiving is only 14 days away.  FOURTEEN days, people!!!  Thinking about the holiday has me REALLY wanting to put this kitchen adventure in the Bright Road history book.  It feels like there’s so much left to do. Level the floor. Paint the walls. Install the backsplash. Put in the drawers and drawer fronts. Add hardware to the drawers. Remove a cabinet & replace with open shelves. Paint or replace the baseboards. Do something with the counter? And… Get a new range hood.

Well, one down…  Over the weekend, Andy and I replaced the range hood.  It was old and white and now it’s shiny, stainless and new.  And it makes a huge difference.

The new hood has a slimmer profile (unlike its owner) so I’m going to have to do a little touch up paint under it.  And I’ll be cleaning this stove top even more obsessively because the lights on this can be seen from space.  I’m thrilled with anything that brings more light into our home.

I’m really happy with it!  Now, on to the other items on my list…  And if you look closely at the pictures above, you’ll know there’s another project afoot. Can you figure out what it is?
