Mom’s weekend
I know a lot of moms who end up feeling a little fried this time of year. It’s such a busy time of year. The kids go back to school. Homework is kicking in. We have fall sports to wrestle with. For me, it’s also my busiest time of year at my day job. I always try to find a little time to carve out for fun. This year, my mom’s weekend included a couple of flea markets.
Country Living Fair
Friday, at the Country Living Fair, wearing a cute little cotton dress with hair & makeup done, I was convinced I’d be the cutest girl at the fair…
I can assure you that was not the case. A) This lil’ goat was the darling of the fair and B) It was SWELTERING!! I was one sweaty mama walking around. I’m not sure I saw everything because I wilted in the heat after a couple of hours.
The above should probably hang next to my front door. LOL.
And I found an old truck that only fuels my obsession with having a vintage truck one day! All in all it was a great time even if I was sweaty. It fueled those creative juices!! And that was just Friday…
Sunflowers
Saturday, I watched the kiddos play soccer and putzed around my house. And Sunday, I grabbed my friend (a fellow mom) and we went to the Springfield Flea Market, a farmer’s market and the Tecumseh Land Trust. What’s that, you ask? Well… It’s a beautiful field of sunflowers!
It really was quite the sight. This mom’s weekend was so relaxing! I feel refreshed and ready to get back to home projects. What did you do this weekend?
