Kitchen Refresh Update

We all know that life is a marathon and not a sprint.  The same goes for home remodeling and this kitchen refresh is certainly living up to that.  Over the last few days, I have dug in and painted the inside of the upper cabinets. 

Having all of my dishes out of the cabinets creates quite a bit of chaos in life. Family dinners aren’t happening because my kitchen table is is currently home to ALL the things that usually dwells in these cabinets. 

But…  it’s looking SO good… I’m really happy with the progress even while that cabinet on the upper right is giving me fits.  It just refuses to be finished.  It still needs another coat of paint on the back walls.  (I must not have cleaned it well enough before painting. UGH!!)

I’m getting anxious to put things away, to purge some items and get other items organized.  Turns out, patience isn’t my best virtue in home improvement (or life in general).  It seems I’m a work in progress-just like my house. 

While the biggest part of the kitchen refresh is nearly done, I still need to  install hardware, paint the walls, level the floors where the fridge used to be and come up with a solution to those yellow counters. Oh how I loathe those yellow counters! One thing at a time…. Right?!
