DIY Wreath

I’m not really a wreath person.  Most of the wreaths I see are too much for me.  I prefer simple.  With the lions on my front door and the framework surrounding them, my doors have a lot going on.  And with double doors…  well, simple is best.  I’ve also found that not too many wreaths are simple. That meant I needed a DIY wreath.

I bought two metal rings, some gourds and some greenery at Joann’s.  The garland was cut into 3 sections and I used 1/3 on one ring, 1/3 on another ring and the last third, I used to fill in where there were gaps.

I attached the greenery with floral tape.

I hot glued the gourds onto the greenery.

And yes, I got hot glue on my fingers because I cannot be trusted with a hot glue gun. I split the bag up between the two rings and had a couple gourds left over.

There you have it.  A simple DIY wreath for your front door.
