Budget Kitchen Remodel
When I last updated you on this budget kitchen remodel, this is where we were…
-One gallon of primer $18
-One gallon of Dutch Boy cabinet paint in “White” $25
-Project wood at Lowe’s for Shaker trim. (Approximately 30 pieces @ $2.76 each) $83
-Handles (16 @ $10.19) $163
-Cabinet pulls (1 package of 10 @ $17.99) $18
-One unfinished utility cabinet from Menards. $180
-One 4foot piece of Butcher Block from Menards $70
For a total of $557
Since then, I added…
-Wood drawers $210
-Wood for drawer fronts $50
-One Gallon of Sherwin Williams Paint in “Snowbound” $44
-Subway tile and installation supplies $90
-Recessed lighting $100 (not including labor)
–Shelf brackets from etsy $43
-Wood for open shelves $22
-Baseboard trim (for the kitchen and the mudroom) $65
The total now reaches $1181(over the course of a year). If you add the kitchen table in the mix, it’s about $1400 for what feels like a whole new kitchen.
For a budget reno/refresh, I’d say I got a lot of bang for my buck. I’m so grateful it has worked the way it did. Mostly, I’m grateful I tried it. It turns out you never really know what you can accomplish unless you try.
XOXO
